Wel...Update on my family.

My sister was recently missing for about 3 and a half weeks, almost a monthish...she was found this week in a shelter. My mom talked to her about coming home, she initially said that she would not come home unless my mom divorced my dad. My mom continued talking with her and eventually convinced her that she was not going to get her way on that.

Mom convinced her to come home, but only on the condition that when mom travels down to TX next week Liz will be staying with a friend rather than our Dad. She has absolutely no reason to hate being with him, but this will give her no way to say mom is forcing her to do anything that she feels is "dangerous" and takes away any opportunity she would have to make things up and frame Dad up for anything.

So prayers and good thoughts are appreciated for both my parents dealing with this and for me as I return home next week. Also for Liz as she is struggling with a lot and running from a lot right now.

On the Texas side of things, I recently returned from Port Arthur Texas (which is a point on the golden triangle, random fact for all you oil tycoons) Where I went on the most amazing mission trip ever. We spent one week volunteering for habitat for humanity (an organization that helps families in sub standard housing build affordable new homes) and helped them build their 101st house. We installed insulation and hung drywall.

The second week we helped around the church, painting, repairing, drywalling, cleaning, hanging sound panels. We painted a couple really awesome rooms! Pictures coming soon...And we helped with their thanksgiving outreaches. Which included giving 150 families in the projects free turkeys, and feeding 327 people Thanksgiving dinner. Then taking leftovers out Friday night and feeding those in need. We ministered to the people through prayer as well, but mostly we were God's hands to them meeting their needs and extending love.

I am now back on campus and graduate in 8 days. Its very bittersweet. I'm gonna miss this place and the people I've come to love here...but I also know that God wants me home so its where I need to go, and it's gonna be best for me in the long run. And I do want to be home...I just also wanna be here...anyways...

I'm doing well and looking forward to coming home to the Couve and seeing everyone again! <3

Thanks for reading...

Your welcome, I'm currently working on a story concept which involves a rather spectacular staircase now falling into ruin, and a rusty metal door... and I've quite fallen in love with the aesthetics of spiral staircases
